I Am Legend Again and Again and Again

Well, despite the fact that the Smith film grossed over half a billion dollars at the global box office, Warner Bros. wants to reboot I Am Legend.

There have been repeated attempts to bring about a prequel and a sequel to the big screen.

Deadline reports, however, that writer Gary Graham wrote an original screenplay titled “A Garden at the End of the World” which the studio saw as having similar themes and mythology to the film and decided it could be re-written as a reboot of the franchise.

I Am Legend producers Akiva Goldsman, James Lassiter, and Joby Harold are on board to produce once again.Though it shared a few similarities to the Richard Matheson novel, the Will Smith-starring I Am Legend featured a number of differences from the original text, including the setting, Robert Neville’s occupation, and the crux of the title itself that the main character, as the last person on earth, had become “The Boogeyman.”
