You should have. Hammer’s spooky old yarn scraped up a decent amount of cash here in the U.S., moreover, it kicked some serious box office ass in the UK. The sequel is well into development with a story and writer locked in.
According to Deadline, Jon Croker – credited as “story editor” on the first film – will pen the follow-up which is set 40 years after the events of the first film. No director has been selected yet.
The plot is said to concern a couple who make their way to the Eel Marsh House, of the first film, and encounter the eponymous spectre. Hopefully, it will have more to offer than a re-hash of the original story.
