The legacy lives on…
Screen Gems has another chapter in the Resident Evil franchise in the works. And they want one in theaters in 2012.
The company has announced the presently untitled Resident Evil 5 will open September 14, 2012.
This will follow the events of Resident Evil: Afterlife, presumably, along with Alice (Milla Jovovich) and her merry band of survivors who were in deep shit by the end of the fourth film.
No word yet if Paul W.S. Anderson will return to direct, but he’ll probably be back on screenwriting duties. We’re not certain if this entry will be 3D either.
