Over the weekend, we brought your attention to a new horror film called Cineplex, which is in development at Mandate Pictures.
The script is being groomed as “the next Scream” and other than scant plot details (movie goers are preyed upon by the killer in the film they are watching), not much more was known about the project.
Shock did a bit of digging and sources tell us the film is one we’ve mentioned here on Shock before. It’s a loose remake of Bigas Luna’s Anguish. Jake Wade Wall (When a Stranger Calls) penned the script and Ghost House Pictures is also involved.
A director is presently being sought.
