Leatherface Actor Cuts into Mother’s Day

Who is he going to play?

The blood is flowing on the set of Darren Lynn Bousman’s Mother’s Day and the director, to this point, has done a deft job of keeping his fans in the loop on how production is going via his Twitter account. (Last night’s shooting schedule was apparently a violent one.)

What Bousman has not Tweeted about is the latest cast member. The remake has attracted actor Andrew Bryniarski, best known for his turn as Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

Who Bryniarski is playing is being kept secret for now. “We don’t want to spoil the surprise for avid Texas Chainsaw fans, but we’re thrilled to bring Andrew on board for what will certainly become a dark and mysterious role,” sas Curtis Leopardo, executive producer of Mother’s Day and founder of LightTower Entertainment.

The Mother’s Day cast currently consists of Rebecca DeMornay, Jaime King, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Shawn Ashmore, Deborah Ann Woll, Lyriq Bent and Lisa Marcos.
