X, starring Mia Goth in the dual lead roles of an elderly woman Pearl, and a young woman Maxine, is a good recommendation for those who have seen Thanksgiving and are fine with that film’s horror and gory elements such as cut limbs and bloody splatters. In the film, a cast and crew gather at an elderly couple Pearl and Howard’s home to make a porn film only to be victims of Pearl and Howard’s homicidal tendencies. You can also watch the prequel film Pearl as a bonus if you happen to like X.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
2022’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the ninth installment of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise and set 50 years after 1974’s film of the same name, is another film Thanksgiving viewers should see as it follows a similar plot of a masked serial killer, in this instance, Leatherface going after a group of young adults for his killing spree. He also comes into conflict with a young woman who has a vendetta against him.
Scream (2022)
Billed as a reboot of the original Scream film from 1996, this is also another film Thanksgiving viewers must see as it also follows the plot of a masked killer (Ghostface) on the loose, albeit with different motivations compared to Thanksgiving’s John Carver. If you end up liking this film then you can also watch the five previous Scream films and Scream VI as a bonus treat.
Friday the 13th (1980)
An iconic film that is a must-watch for Thanksgiving viewers. The story follows a group of teenagers who are targeted and killed one by one by a masked killer, Jason Voorhees while attempting to reopen an abandoned summer camp that has a tragic story behind it.
