Tell-Tale Captures Josh Lucas’ Heart

Poe adaptation begins casting, plot details revealed

Remember that bizarro news out of the AFM last week about an updated adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s “A Tell-Tale Heart”? Yeah, I thought it arrived out of left field, too.

Pre-production on the film beats on with “Dexter” helmer Michael Cuesta in the director’s chair and now we’ve got our first bit of casting news via The Hollywood Reporter. Josh Lucas – of The Poseidon Adventure and Hulk – has signed on for the leading role: A single pop with a transplated heart that guides him on a search for the killer of the donor. You follow?

Writer Dave Callaham’s take appears to have shades of Body Parts (Jeff Fahey, baby!), but we’ll just have to see, won’t we?
