Afghanistan is quickly becoming a primo destination for filmmakers to set their terror tales. Daniel Myrick recently wrapped The Objective and Alex Turner is in pre-production on The Stone House, horror movies both set in the Middle East.
New Regency, director John Moore (The Omen remake) and writer John Cox (Sgt. Rock) are adapting Virgin Comics’ Virulents. Story pits a group of soldiers against “vampire zombies” in the Afghanistan.
Virgin Comics’ Gotham Chopra and Sharad Devarajan will produce, along with Seth Jaret and Moore. 20th Century Fox will distribute.
