Watch the Official Underworld: Blood Wars Soundtrack Video

Michael Wandmacher’s Underworld: Blood Wars soundtrack is out now from Lakeshore Records

Director Anna Foerster’s fifth film in the wildly popular Underworld series, Underworld: Blood Wars, hits theaters this Friday, January 6th and it continues the leather-soaked tale of vampire warrior Selene (once more played by Kate Beckinsale). This round, Selene is still fending off brutal attacks from both the Lycans (that’s werewolf for the uninitiated) clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (the always amazing Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

The soundtrack is composed by My Bloody Valentine 3D notesmith Michael Wandmacher (read our review of the soundtrack album here) who replaces series regular Paul Haslinger (Haslinger in fact composed the score for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, due out later this month). Wandmacher’s music sounds dark, blue/black, shiny and serious and the album itself is well-produced and slick.

The Underworld Blood Wars soundtrack album is available now from Lakeshore Records and the label has given us the exclusive first look at the official video for the disc. Have a look below and, if you’re a fan, be sure to check out the film when it hits theaters on January 6th in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D!
