Reports have revealed CM Punk’s status for WWE King & Queen of the Ring as he rehabs from a tricep injury. Punk was last seen on WWE on the 6th May edition of RAW, where he confronted Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre was removed from the WWE King of the Ring tournament and left the show early in anger. As soon as McIntyre left, CM Punk made his appearance.
With WWE preparing for King & Queen of the Ring, superstars like Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, and Gunther are scheduled for the show. Fans are curious about CM Punk’s potential presence. Despite being injured, CM Punk has made several appearances on WWE shows, leading to speculation about his appearance in Saudi Arabia.
According to PWInsider, while most of the WWE roster and staff are already in Saudi Arabia for Saturday’s King and Queen of the Ring, CM Punk is in Philadelphia. He will announce this Friday for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships. It will be broadcast from the 2300 Arena in Philly.
Even WWE’s chief content officer, Triple H, shared a photo of himself preparing for Saudi Arabia. However, fans in Saudi Arabia won’t get to see CM Punk at the show this weekend in Riyadh.
CM Punk’s rival Drew McIntyre also missing from WWE King & Queen of the Ring
CM Punk, who won’t be present at the show in Saudi Arabia, will also not see his rival Drew McIntyre in attendance. The heated rivalry between Punk and McIntyre has spanned months. Initially announced as a King of the Tournament participant, McIntyre was scheduled to face Finn Balor in the first round.
However, reports have emerged that McIntyre suffered an elbow injury. WWE incorporated this into the storyline, with RAW general manager Adam Pearce announcing that McIntyre would not compete in the tournament and was replaced by Jey Uso.
Drew McIntyre expressed his dissatisfaction with Adam Pearce’s decision. Although he is not competing at WWE King & Queen of the Ring. He is scheduled to receive a world title match: Damian Priest, the WWE World Champion.
Priest had agreed to give McIntyre a title shot once he is ready to compete. Rumors suggest that the match will take place next month in Scotland at WWE Clash at the Castle in Glasgow.
