Saudi Arabia and WWE are in talks to host WrestleMania or Royal Rumble

Saudi Arabia has provided a major update on hosting WWE events. Reports indicate that Saudi Arabia has expressed interest in hosting one of WWE’s two biggest shows of the year, WrestleMania or Royal Rumble. The partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia began in 2018, with WWE agreeing to a ten-year deal. This deal confirmed that two premium live events would be held annually in the country.

ESPN’s reporter Mike Coppinger recently reported that Turki Alalshikh stated an “enhancement” to Saudi Arabia’s agreement with WWE would be announced later this month. Following these reports, it appears Saudi Arabia plans to bring WWE’s biggest show to their country.

In an interview with MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. He revealed that he is in talks to bring WWE WrestleMania or Royal Rumble to Saudi Arabia. He stated, “We are talking in the future about WrestleMania and Royal Rumble. We are talking around ’26, ’27.”

The promotion recently concluded WrestleMania 40, which witnessed one of the best main events in the show’s history. Next year, WWE’s biggest show is heading to Las Vegas at the Allegiant Stadium. It will be interesting to see if Saudi Arabia can convince WWE to bring Royal Rumble or WrestleMania to their country.

What is WWE’s next show in Saudi Arabia?

While their ten-year deal with WWE remains in effect, Saudi Arabia is actively planning to host WrestleMania or Royal Rumble in their country. Additionally, next week marks the promotion’s return to Saudi Arabia for their next Premium Live Event. The King & Queen of the Ring show is scheduled for next Saturday, May 25th.

The show has already announced three major matches: Becky Lynch will compete against Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship, and Sami Zayn will face Bronson Reed and Chad Gable in a triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Championship. Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul both put their titles on the line. Moreover, the King & Queen of the Ring tournament finals will also take place on the show.
