The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Liv Morgan, got arrested last year for possessing marijuana. Recently, the bodycam footage of her arrest several months ago was released online.
In December 2023, the 29-year-old star got arrested for marijuana possession after a sheriff’s deputy pulled over her yellow Jeep for crossing road lines. The arrest report mentioned detecting the odor of marijuana in Morgan’s vehicle. Despite this, authorities released Liv Morgan on bond.
The release of the bodycam footage on the Law & Crime Network YouTube channel led to Morgan trending on social media. She seized this opportunity by sharing a post on X (formerly Twitter). Although she didn’t directly mention the arrest or the footage, she shared a link where people can donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A lucky donor can win a trip to WWE RAW in Sunrise, Florida, on August 19 to meet Morgan in person. Also, they can win Air Jordan 1 Retro High Sneakers signed by her.
However, with the release of the bodycam footage, many fans on social media have criticized the authorities for reading her journal during the arrest.
Did WWE superstar Liv Morgan face backstage heat after arrest?
Liv Morgan made her grand return back in January at the WWE Royal Rumble, just after her arrest. However, fans were wondering whether Morgan faced any backstage heat at WWE following her arrest.
According to a report, Morgan’s criminal case in Sumter County, Florida, officially concluded in February. It was also reported that there seemed to be no negative ramifications from WWE management concerning Morgan’s arrest.
Meanwhile, Liv Morgan continues to be prominently featured on WWE programming, regularly appearing in top programs. Currently, she is feuding with WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch. Also, they will face each other at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event on May 25.
