Randy Orton Applauds WWE’s Creative Shift Under Triple H’s Leadership

WWE Superstar Randy Orton has shared his thoughts on Triple H assuming the creative role in the promotion. In 2022, Vince McMahon retired due to a scandal involving hush money, leading to Triple H taking over as the chief content officer and assuming creative responsibilities at WWE.

McMahon briefly returned to WWE in early 2023 but faced renewed attention following a lawsuit filed by a former employee in January 2024. Recently, McMahon completely exited WWE, having sold his remaining shares of the promotion. With McMahon’s departure, Triple H is now fully in charge of WWE’s creative direction. Since assuming control of WWE’s creative direction, fans have noticed a change in the WWE product and have been praising Triple H’s work.

In an interview with Adam’s Apple, Randy Orton shared his thoughts on Triple H’s role as the creative head and praised his leadership. He stated, “With Nick Khan, Triple H, and Bruce Prichard, so many things have changed from a creative standpoint. They’re thinking months and months and months in advance. Before, we were kind of flying by the seat of our pants. Creative was changed minutes before we went live each week. I don’t mean sometimes. I mean, each week creative was changed.”

He continued, “So just purely from a creative standpoint, you’re able to let it marinate and think about, okay, how am I gonna do this? Or how can I make this better? Or maybe there are tweaks, but you don’t do it ten minutes before you go live.”

Randy Orton is set to be in action on WWE SmackDown

WWE Superstar Randy Orton is set to appear in the upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown. Orton, who recently competed in a tag team match against The Bloodline at WWE Backlash and suffered a loss, is set to participate in the King of the Ring tournament.

In the tournament, Orton is scheduled to face his WrestleMania 35 opponent, AJ Styles, on WWE SmackDown. Styles is seeking redemption after losing to Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship at WWE Backlash. Thus, he will be Orton’s first opponent in the tournament.
