WWE United States Champion Logan Paul reached out to Cameron Grimes following his shocking release. Grimes, the former WWE NXT North American Champion, was released from his contract this past Tuesday. Following the shocking news, Grimes posted an emotional video on his social media.
Grimes, who signed with WWE in 2019, spent five years in the promotion. In 2023, he was drafted to the main roster on SmackDown after his NXT run. Grimes, as part of the SmackDown roster, competed several times on the brand. His most recent bout was against Bron Breakker on the April 12 edition of SmackDown, which turned out to be his last match in the promotion.
Cameron Grimes recently appeared on The Busted Open Radio, addressing his WWE release. During the interview, Grimes also opened up about Logan Paul reaching out to him following his release. He stated, “This is gonna sound weird because the level of star he is, but Logan Paul actually reached out to me, and I thought that was pretty cool because he’s a megastar really, even beyond wrestling. He reached out to me and said some stuff to me, so that helps me feel good.”
Grimes, who was shockingly released from WWE this week, has received support from several WWE stars. It will be interesting to see what’s next for the former WWE NXT North American Champion – will he go back to TNA or choose to go to AEW?

With the WWE 2024 Draft beginning on SmackDown this week and continuing until the upcoming edition of WWE RAW, SmackDown superstar Logan Paul, who recently retained his United States Championship at WrestleMania 40 against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, is set to make an appearance on RAW.
Meanwhile, WWE has announced this despite the draft rules stating that champions of each brand are protected. Given Paul’s status as a SmackDown champion, it raises questions about why he is scheduled to appear on WWE RAW.
