Erick Redbeard Set to Make WWE Return

Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Eric Rowan in WWE, is returning to the promotion after four years. Rowan, a prominent member of the Wyatt Family during his tenure, had a significant impact on the promotion.

A recent report stated that Erick Redbeard, who was announced for East Coast Pro Wrestling, won’t make his scheduled appearance at the upcoming show. The report cites “new contractual obligations” as the reason preventing him from fulfilling his commitment to East Coast Pro Wrestling.

The speculation about Erick Redbeard’s potential return to WWE has intensified. WWE’s recent teases, including glitches on screen and QR codes resembling Bray Wyatt’s return in 2022, have fueled this speculation. It’s quite possible that Redbeard could be making his WWE comeback alongside Bo Dallas, known as Uncle Howdy.

Dave Meltzer, on the recent Wrestling Observer Radio, mentioned that Erick Redbeard, formerly part of the Wyatt Family, is poised to make a WWE comeback, marking his return after a four-year absence.

With wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer confirming Erick Redbeard’s WWE return and the recent teases of Uncle Howdy. It will be interesting to see if WWE plans to bring him alongside Bo Dallas.

A look back: Erick Redbeard’s last WWE appearance

Erick Redbeard, who signed with WWE in 2011, rose to prominence on the roster as a member of the Wyatt Family under Bray Wyatt’s leadership. He had a remarkable run with the Wyatt Family and later formed a tag team called The Bludgeon Brothers with Luke Harper, also known as Jon Huber.

In 2019, Eric Redbeard transitioned into a singles career after an alliance with Daniel Bryan. He eventually attacked Bryan to kickstart his singles journey. During this period, he was involved in a feud with Roman Reigns. He even defeated Reigns at Clash of Champions in 2019.

However, following his feud with Reigns, Redbeard’s trajectory in WWE became uncertain. His final appearance was on an episode of WWE RAW in March 2020 against Drew McIntyre. Unfortunately, he was released from the promotion in April 2020 as part of the company’s budget cuts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While he was released from WWE, he did make an appearance last year. In August 2023, during Bray Wyatt’s tribute show on SmackDown, Eric Redbeard was seen with Braun Strowman.

With recent reports stating that he is set to return to the promotion after four years. Fans will be excited to see what’s next for him in WWE.
