Ronda Rousey Found WWE’s Schedule Tough, Reveals Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has recently shed light on the rigorous demands of the WWE schedule, particularly highlighting Ronda Rousey’s struggles. Rousey, who transitioned from being a mixed martial arts icon to a WWE superstar, made a splash in the wrestling world with her debut at the 2018 Royal Rumble. She quickly rose to prominence, capturing the RAW Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2018 and headlining the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania 35 alongside Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Despite her rise and the mainstream attention she brought to the women’s division, Rousey found WWE’s packed schedule challenging. After her historic WrestleMania 35 appearance, she took a hiatus, only to return triumphantly in 2022, winning the Royal Rumble and securing the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice.

In a conversation with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Seth Rollins was asked about the potential for UFC fighters to transition to WWE. He praised Rousey’s contributions to both the fight industry and WWE. He stated, “I don’t want to knock Ronda Rousey because I love Ronda. She did a lot for our industry, for women in our industry and for the fight industry in general, but it was tough for Ronda. She tried her damnedest and it was hard for her. But I don’t know, I’d love for somebody to come over and take a crack if you think you can hang. But it’s hard.”

What is Ronda Rousey’s doing after WWE departure?

Following her final WWE appearance at SummerSlam last year, where Ronda Rousey competed against Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match, Rousey took an unexpected turn in her wrestling career. Contrary to expectations that she might step away from the wrestling scene, Rousey made a surprising move by diving into the independent wrestling circuit. Rousey’s post-WWE journey saw her step into the independent wrestling scene. She also performed in Ring of Honor and various other promotions, showcasing her passion for professional wrestling outside of WWE.

Ronda Rousey has not ventured into this new chapter alone. She has consistently teamed up with Marina Shafir, her real-life close friend, bringing a familiar dynamic to her matches on the independent scene.
