WWE’s Alternate Plan for The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Unveiled

In a shocking turn of events, WWE is floating an alternate plan for The Rock’s potential clash with Roman Reigns, diverting it away from WrestleMania 40. Recent reports suggest that some within the promotion are pushing for the highly anticipated matchup to unfold on Saudi Arabian soil instead.

The speculation gained momentum after The Rock, fresh from his TKO Board of Directors appointment, hinted at a potential showdown with Reigns during an appearance on ESPN’s First Take. He admitted there was a “chance” that he would wrestle Reigns at the Showcase of the Immortals.

While WrestleMania remains a possibility, new details from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio reveal that The Rock has yet to sign for the event as of January 23. Meltzer stated, “As far as WrestleMania goes, he has not signed as of today; as far as I know. He was on First Take, and he certainly strongly hinted at it. It is absolutely in play. It is not a done deal. He wants to do WrestleMania this year. There are forces that are interested in how much value he could bring to Saudi Arabia. But he would rather do WrestleMania as it stands now. So it depends.”

He continued by saying, “I think there’s balls in play. Nothing is 100%. And there’s people who would like to convince him they can make tons of extra money from Saudi Arabia to do it. So we don’t know the answers, this is all in the process of being worked out right now. But he is absolutely looking doing the match with Roman Reigns. He’s absolutely looking at doing it at WrestleMania. It’s not signed.”

This unexpected twist has fans intrigued about where The Rock vs. Roman Reigns will unfold, whether it is WrestleMania or in Saudi Arabia.
