However, she faced a temporary release in November 2020 due to her stance against WWE’s policy on controlling third-party platforms like Twitch. She did make her return to the promotion eight months later. Zelina Vega went on to capture victory in the Queens Crown Tournament in Saudi Arabia in 2021.
Zelina Vega has been an integral part of the Latino World Order, which Santos Escobar recently broke. The faction gained prominence just before WrestleMania 39. Vega also had a memorable clash with Rhea Ripley at the Backlash in Puerto Rico, which solidified her status as a significant figure in WWE’s women’s division.

However, on SmackDown, Damage CTRL, comprising Bayley, current WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane, is causing chaos on the roster.
Vega might engage in a storyline against Damage CTRL, who are currently feuding with Bianca Blair, Shotzi, and the injured Charlotte Flair (out for at least nine months). Given Flair’s absence, Vega could step in and join Blair’s team to confront Damage CTRL.
