The Clock is Ticking in the New Riverdale Promo and Photos

Following last night’s episode of the series, The CW has released the promo for next week’s episode of Riverdale and promo photos for the next two episodes! Check them out below!

Next week will see the debut of Episode 2.20 of the series titled “Chapter Thirty-Three: Shadow of a Doubt.” Set to air May 2, the episode is officially described as follows:

“DEBATE NIGHT – As the town’s mayoral race between Fred (Luke Perry) and Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) heats up, Hiram (Mark Consuelos) sets his sights on a new ally – Sheriff Minetta (guest star Henderson Wade). Betty (Lili Reinhart) turns to Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) for help when she has a suspicion about the Black Hood. Meanwhile, the reveal of a dark secret forces Archie (KJ Apa) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) to try and ease tensions between the Bulldogs and Serpents. Finally, on the eve of the mayoral debate, a mysterious message leaves everyone on edge. Camila Mendes, Madchen Amick, Skeet Ulrich and Casey Cott also star.”

Gregory Smith directed the episode, which was written by Yolonda E. Lawrence.

Following that is Episode 2.21, titled “Chapter Thirty-Four: The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and set to air May 9. It’s described as follows:

“RIOT NIGHT – When an incident at the Sheriff’s station triggers an all-out war between the North and the Southside, Archie (KJ Apa) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) find themselves in the fight of their lives. Meanwhile Veronica (Camila Mendes) makes a devastating discovery about Hiram (Mark Consuelos), just as someone from his past arrives in Riverdale looking for revenge. Finally, Betty (Lili Reinhart) comes face to face with the Black Hood. Madelaine Petsch, Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick, Luke Perry, Mark Consuelos, Skeet Ulrich and Casey Cott also star.”

Cherie Nowlan directed the episode, which was written by Shepard Boucher.

KJ Apa stars as Archie Andrews in the series along with Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom.

Based on the characters from Archie Comics, Riverdale hails from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with Berlanti Productions, with executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater.
