Conspiracies and cultures clash in Netflix’s Collateral trailer
Netflix clues us into a criminal conundrum wrapped up in cultural conflict with this trailer of their upcoming limited four-episode detective thriller series Collateral. Watch the full trailer in the player below!
Set over the course of four days in London, Collateral explores the spiraling repercussions surrounding the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man. Detective Inspector Kip Glaspie (Carey Mulligan) refuses to accept that this is a random act of violence, and is determined to discover if there is a darker truth.
While it does have the “Netflix Original” label on its official page, the show did make its debut in the UK on BBC Two on February 12. What Netflix has is exclusive international streaming rights. Netflix also co-produced it with The Forge, a UK-based independent drama production company.
The show stars Academy Award-winning actress Carey Mulligan (An Education, Shame), John Simm, Nicola Walker and Billie Piper. Playwright and screenwriter David Hare created and wrote the series. It’s directed by S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones). George Faber and Mark Pybus are the executive producers.
See just how far down the rabbit hole goes when Collateral launches all four of its episodes on March 9 on Netflix.
