The Shannara Chronicles Comic-Con Trailer is Now Online!

MTV has debuted a 3-minute The Shannara Chronicles trailer

At Comic-Con today, MTV debuted nearly three-minutes of footage in the first trailer for “The Shannara Chronicles,” based on the international best-selling fantasy novels from author Terry Brooks. Now you can dive into the world of the Four Lands by watching the trailer below!

“The Shannara Chronicles,” premiering in January of 2016, stars Ivana Baquero as Eretria, Austin Butler as Wil Ohmsford, and Poppy Drayton as Amberle Elessedil, three elves attempting to keep demons at bay after an enchanted tree begins to die. The show also features Ivana Baquero, Manu Bennett, Emilia Burns and Lord of the Rings star John Rhys-Davies as Eventine Elessedil.

MTV and producing partner Sonar Entertainment ordered “The Shannara Chronicles” straight to series with Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) signed on to direct the first two episodes.

Al Gough and Miles Millar will write and executive produce the series, which is greenlit for 10 episodes. Jon Favreau, Jonathan Liebesman, Terry Brooks and Dan Farah will serve as executive producers.
