Steal Trailer: Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner Stars in Heist TV Show

Prime Video has shared the official trailer for Steal, the upcoming contemporary, high-octane thriller led by Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner. All six episodes will be available on January 21, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.

“The series is about the heist of the century and the ordinary office worker, Zara, who finds herself at the heart of it. A typical workday at a pension fund investment company, Lochmill Capital, is upended when a gang of violent thieves bursts in and forces Zara and her best mate Luke to execute their demands,” reads the official synopsis. “But who would steal billions of pounds of ordinary people’s pensions and why? DCI Rhys is determined to find out, but as a recently relapsed gambling addict, Rhys must keep his own money problems at bay while dealing with the secret agendas and competing interests at the center of this far-reaching crime.”

What happens in the Steal trailer?

The video introduces Turner’s Zara as a normal office worker who suddenly gets accused of being involved in a multi-billion-pound heist that robbed lots of British people of their pensions. The MI5 begins investigating her potential involvement, which puts her life in danger. Besides Turner, the ensemble cast also includes Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (The Queen’s Gambit), Archie Madekwe (Saltburn), Andrew Howard (Watchmen), Ellie James (The Winter King), Jonathan Slinger (Alex Rider), Harry Michell (Hijack), Thomas Larkin (Sexy Nails), Tara Summers (Mercy Street), Andrew Koji (Warrior), and more.

Steal is created and written by crime novelist Sotiris Nikias, with I May Destroy You director Sam Miller and Hettie Macdonald directing. The series is executive-produced by Greg Brenman and Rebecca de Souza, with Nuala O’Leary serving as a producer. It is a production by Amazon MGM Studios and Drama Republic.

Besides Steal, Turner is also currently working with Amazon MGM Studios on another project in the form of Prime Video’s live-action TV adaptation of Tomb Raider. She is set to lead the cast, consisting of Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Bill Paterson. It hails from Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
