The Mighty Nein Trailer Previews Prime Video Show Led by The Last of Us Stars

Amazon MGM Studios has shared the official trailer for The Mighty Nein, the upcoming animated adult dark-fantasy series from Titmouse. It is based on Critical Role’s second Dungeons & Dragons campaign, which takes place 20 years after the events of The Legend of Vox Machina. The show is slated to stream on November 19, exclusively on Prime Video.

“The Mighty Nein follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars. But when a powerful arcane relic known as ‘The Beacon’ falls into dangerous hands, they must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in The Mighty Nein trailer?

The video offers a closer look at the main characters, including cleric Jester Lavorre and barbarian Yasha Nydoorin, who are respectively voiced by The Last of Us stars Laura Bailey and Ashley Johnson. The trailer introduces an unlikely group of outcasts who are forced to work together to save the world from an impending war. It also teases some of the show’s action-packed sequences.

The Mighty Nein is executive-produced by showrunner Tasha Huo (Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft). The series will feature the voices of Critical Role founders and cast members Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers), Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3), Marisha Ray (Fallout 76), Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham. It will also include guest stars Anjelica Huston, Lucy Liu, Nathan Fillion, T’Nia Miller, Felicia Day, Graham McTavish, and Ivanna Sakhno.

The Critical Role cast have also signed on as executive producers along with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina. It is a production by Amazon MGM Studios, Critical Role, and Titmouse.
