Senna Teaser Trailer Previews Netflix’s F1 Biopic Series

Netflix has released the Senna teaser trailer for its upcoming biographical drama series about the life of Formula One champion racer Ayrton Senna, who died in a tragic accident during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

The video features a first look at Gabriel Leone (Ferrari) as he portrays the award-winning Brazilian racecar driver. It also provides a brief glimpse of his journey to becoming a world champion. The limited series will debut later this year.

What to expect from Senna?

“Over the course of six episodes, Senna will, for the first time, depict the journey of overcoming obstacles, ups and downs, joys, and sorrows of Ayrton, exploring his personality and personal relationships. The starting point will be the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s racing career when he moved to England to compete in Formula Ford, all the way to the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix,” reads the official logline.

Senna is directed by Vicente Amorim and Júlia Rezende, with Amorim als serving as the showrunner. The creative team also includes head writer Gustavo Bragança, along with producers Fabiano Gullane and Caio Gullane. Besides Leone, the miniseries also stars Pâmela Tomé, Matt Mella, Patrick Kennedy, Gabriel Louchard as Galvão Bueno, Alice Wegmann, Camila Márdila, Christian Malheiros, Hugo Bonemer, Julia Foti, Marco Ricca, Susana Ribeiro, Kaya Scodelario, Arnaud Viard, Joe Hurst, Johannes Heinrichs, Keisuke Hoashi, Leon Ockenden, Richard Clothier, Steven Mackintosh, and Tom Mannion.
