High School Musical Disney+ Show Season 4 Trailer Teases Final Season

The official teaser trailer for Disney+’s upcoming fourth and final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has been released. It teases the return of the original movie’s cast — including Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, and Lucas Grabeel — when the show streams on August 9.

The video features Ricky, Gina, and the rest of the Wildcats as they prepare for their final stage musical. However, things get hectic when the production of High School Musical 4: The Reunion arrives at East High.

What to Expect in High School Musical Season 4?

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a mockumentary musical teen drama that follows a group of students at East High. It stars Joshua Bassett as Ricky, Matt Cornett as E.J., Sofia Wylie as Gina, Julia Lester as Ashlyn, Dara Reneé as Kourtney, Frankie Rodriguez as Carlos, Kate Reindeers as Miss Jenn, and Liamani Segura as Emmy.

“Season 4 will see the Wildcats returning to East High, where they prepare a stage production of 2008’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” reads the logline. “But, in a meta twist signature to the series, plans are disrupted when Disney announces the long-awaited High School Musical 4: The Reunion movie will shoot on location at their beloved high school.”

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is executive produced by Tim Federle (Ferdinand) and Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars), along with the original film’s EPs Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush.
