Apple TV+ has released the official Slow Horses Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of the spy thriller series starring Gary Oldman. The video highlights the titular underdog team’s next mission which involves preventing a catastrophic incident from unleashing in London. The next installment will be available for streaming on December 2.

“In season two, long-buried Cold War secrets emerge which threaten to bring carnage to the streets of London,” reads the synopsis. “When a liaison with Russian villains takes a fatal turn, our hapless heroes must overcome their individual failings and raise their spy game in a race to prevent a catastrophic incident.”
Slow Horses is a darkly humorous espionage drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping-ground department of MI5 known un-affectionately as Slough House.
Joining Oldman are Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Dustin Demri-Burns, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce.

Slow Horses is directed and executive produced by James Hawes. Executive producers are Smith, Graham Yost, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux, and Douglas Urbanski. It is a production by See-Saw Films.
Mick Herron’s novel was first published in 2010 and was followed by seven sequels consisting of Dead Lions, The List, Real Tigers, Spook Street, London Rules, The Drop, and the most recently Joe Country.
