Netflix has given Bridgerton fans their first look at the upcoming prequel to the popular Netflix series, titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The trailer comes during Netflix’s announcement-filled Tudum event.

“Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton,” reads the logline.
The clip has its own synopsis, saying, “Charlotte, meet George. The first encounter of a romance which sparked Bridgerton society as we know it, soon to be told in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”
