Alaska Daily Trailer: Hilary Swank Investigates a Cold Case in ABC Drama

The official trailer for ABC’s upcoming drama thriller Alaska Daily has been released, starring Oscar winner Hilary Swank as an investigative journalist. The series is scheduled to make its debut on October 6 on ABC and on Hulu.

The video features Swank’s Eileen as she takes on a job in Alaska, where she must help with the investigation of a cold case involving the deaths of many indigenous women. As she seeks for the truth, she’ll realize that Alaska has a lot more stories to tell than it seems to.

Alaska Daily is created and executive produced by Tom McCarthy, who also serves as the writer and director. Joining Swank are Jeff Perry as Stanley Cornik, Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Grace Dove as Rosalind “Roz” Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Martin, Ami Park as Jieun Park, and Craig Frank as Austin Greene.

“The series follows Eileen Fitzgerald, a recently disgraced reporter who leaves her high-profile New York life behind to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption,” reads the synopsis.

Alaska Daily is executive produced by Swank, Melissa Wells, Bert Salke, Kyle Hopkins, and Ryan Binkley. It is a production by 20th Television.
