Pennyworth Season 3 Trailer Teases Psychedelic Villains

HBO Max has released the official Pennyworth Season 3 trailer for the upcoming return of the Batman prequel series centered around the origins of Bruce Wayne’s most trusted ally Alfred Pennyworth. The new installment will start streaming on October 6.

The video teases Alfred’s newest enemies as the 60s bring a new age of superheroes and supervillains. One of the villains featured uses a psychedelic drug to mind control people. It also previews Alfred’s newest connection with the Wayne family as he gets enlisted by Thomas Wayne’s father Patrick Wayne.

Pennyworth: The Origins of Batman’s Butler follows Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier, who forms a security company in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne and his wife Martha before they become Bruce Wayne’s parents.

“Season three of the psychological thriller begins after a five-year time jump: the civil war is over, and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or worse – ushering in a new age of Super Heroes and Supervillains,” reads the logline.

It stars Jack Bannon (The Imitation Game, Medici) as Alfred Pennyworth, Ben Aldridge (Fleabag) as Thomas Wayne, Emma Paetz as Martha Kane, Ryan Fletcher as Dave Boy, and Paloma Faith as Bet Sykes, along with Dorothy Atkinson, Ramon Tikaram, Harriet Slater and Simon Manyonda.
