Echoes Trailer: Michelle Monaghan Leads Netflix’s Missing Twin Drama

Netflix has dropped an official trailer for Echoes, the forthcoming psychological thriller that hails from 13 Reasons Why creator Brian Yorkey. The limited series will be available for streaming on August 19.

The video, which you can check out below, introduces twin sisters Leni and Gina who shares a strange and unique relationship. It highlights the disappearance of Leni, which will send Gina’s life into chaos.

Echoes is a mystery thriller created, written, and executive produced by Vanessa Gazy. It stars Michelle Monaghan, Matt Bomer, Daniel Sunjata, Ali Stroker, Karen Robinson, Rosanny Zayas, Michael O’Neill, Celia Weston, Gable Swanlund, Tyner Rushing, Hazel and Ginger Mason, Alise Willis, and Maddie Nichols.

“The miniseries centers around two identical twins, Leni and Gina, who share a dangerous secret,” reads the synopsis. “Since they were children, Leni and Gina have secretly swapped lives, culminating in a double life as adults: they share two homes, two husbands, and a child, but everything in their perfectly choreographed world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing.”

Echoes is executive produced by Yorkey and Quinton Peeples, who are both set as showrunners. Executive producers are Imogen Banks and Endemol Shine Banks Australia.

Yorkey is best known for his acclaimed Broadway rock musical titled Next to Normal, which earned him a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2010 and a Tony Award for Best Original Score. The series adaptation of 13 Reasons Why was Yorkey’s first foray into television, and was his first collaboration with the streamer.
