Hawkeye TV Spot Reveals Why Kate Bishop Wants to Be a Superhero

Marvel Studios has released a brand new Hawkeye TV spot for Disney+’s highly-anticipated MCU series, which is slated to make its debut on November 24 with the first two episodes. The video features some new footage including a new look at Vera Farmiga’s Eleanor Bishop. It also previews a scene between Jeremy Renner’s Clint and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, who reveals the reasons why she wants to become a superhero.

Hawkeye sees Jeremy Renner reprising his iconic role as Clint Barton, with the story also set to introduce his fan-favorite protégé Kate Bishop, who in the comic is also a member of the Young Avengers. The character will be portrayed by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld.

“The series is set in a post-blip New York City, where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas,” reads the official synopsis. “But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy.”

The series will also feature MCU newcomers including Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Alaqua Cox, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, and Brian d’Arcy James. Oscar nominee Florence Pugh, who recently made her debut as Yelena Belova in Black Widow, is reportedly set to appear in the series.

Hawkeye hails from head writer Jonathan Igla, with Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, aka Bert and Bertie, and Rhys Thomas serving as directors.
