Hawkeye sees Jeremy Renner reprising his iconic role as Clint Barton, with the story also set to introduce his fan-favorite protégé Kate Bishop, who in the comic is also a member of the Young Avengers. The character will be portrayed by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld.

“The series is set in a post-blip New York City, where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas,” reads the official synopsis. “But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy.”

The series will also feature MCU newcomers including Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Alaqua Cox, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, and Brian d’Arcy James. Oscar nominee Florence Pugh, who recently made her debut as Yelena Belova in Black Widow, is reportedly set to appear in the series.

Hawkeye hails from head writer Jonathan Igla, with Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, aka Bert and Bertie, and Rhys Thomas.

Due to previously released set photos, it is being heavily speculated that it would finally be adapting one of Hawkeye’s prominent storylines from the comics, where Clint loses his hearing.
