Netflix’s Locke & Key Season 2 Trailer: New Magic Will Be Forged

Netflix has finally dropped the full trailer for the upcoming second season of the hit supernatural series Locke & Key, which is slated to make its return on Friday, October 22. The Locke & Key Season 2 trailer, which you can check out below, features the Locke siblings as they continue to unlock the secrets of their house, while also discovering more hidden keys within it. It also gives us a preview of the dangers that they’ll have to face this season, while also teasing Dodge’s evil plan of using the keys to rule the world.

In addition, Kevin Durand has also been cast for a series regular role in the series’ upcoming seasons. He is set to portray the role of Frederick Gideon, described as a ruthless, charismatic, and cunning British Revolutionary War Captain, who becomes a dangerous adversary for the Locke Family.

Locke & Key is Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic book series of the same name. It currently stars Connor Jessup (American Crime) as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones (CODA) as Kinsey Locke, Jackson Robert Scott (It) as Bode Locke, Darby Stanchfield (Scandal) as Nina Locke, and Aaron Ashmore (X-Men films) as Duncan Locke. Joining them are Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Griffin Gluck as Gabe/Dodge, Petrice Jones as Scot, and Hallea Jones as Eden.

“In the coming-of-age supernatural series, after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death,” reads the synopsis. “As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.”

Locke & Key is created and executive produced by Carlton Cuse (LostBates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), who are also serving as showrunners. Executive producers Lindsey Springer, David Alpert, Rick Jacobs, Ted Adams and David Ozer along with Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, who are both currently in production for Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming The Flash movie.
