Hulu has released the first Nine Perfect Strangers teaser promo for their upcoming limited series adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s best-selling novel. The video provides us our first look at the miniseries’ star-studded cast, including Nicole Kidman as a mysterious wellness guru of a somewhat creepy retreat facility called the Tranquilim House. It will also be led by Oscar nominees Melissa McCarthy and Michael Shannon, who portray the roles of Francis and Napoleon.
Based on author Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name, the limited series is expected to take place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation in just a span of 10 days. It will follow the story of nine stressed city dwellers as they try to get on a path that will improve and better their way of living. Watching over them is the resort’s director Masha, a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, soon they’ll realize that everything isn’t what it seems to be as these nine strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.
