The Finn and Jake-centered episode was originally set to be the final installment of the four-part HBO Max special. However, it looks like the upcoming Peppermint Butler-led episode titled “Wizard City” will now be the one to wrap up the animated special.

Adventure Time: Distant Lands will bring us back to Land of Ooo and reunite us with our favorite characters Finn, Jake, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, BMO and Peppermint Butler. Each special is set to focus on a different character or set of characters, with Marceline and Princess Bubblegum teaming up for the second episode, while the third episode will see Finn the human reuniting with his best friend Jake the dog.

The first two episodes “BMO,” and “Obsidian,” debuted last year and it was a critical success. The two episodes earned positive reviews, praising them for their storylines and LGBTQ representation.
