Adventure Time: Distant Lands Episode 3 trailer reunites Finn and Jake
HBO Max has released the first promo trailer for the third episode of Adventure Time: Distant Lands titled “Together Again,” which is scheduled to debut on Thursday, May 20. The video features the beloved Cartoon Network series’ main characters Finn the Human and Jake the Dog as they embark on their biggest adventure ever. Check out the video in the player below.
The streamer has also released the official synopsis for the upcoming third episode, which teases the reunion of the fan-favorite duo. The synopsis for “Together Again” reads: “After a break from adventuring, a series of mysterious events leads Finn and Jake farther from home than they have ever traveled before,” reads the official synopsis. “When they find themselves face to face with a monstrous evil, Finn and Jake must unite for the adventure of their lifetimes!”
The Finn and Jake-centered episode was originally set to be the final installment of the four-part HBO Max special. However, it looks like the upcoming Peppermint Butler-led episode titled “Wizard City” will now be the one to wrap up the animated special.
Adventure Time: Distant Lands will bring us back to Land of Ooo and reunite us with our favorite characters Finn, Jake, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, BMO and Peppermint Butler. Each special is set to focus on a different character or set of characters, with Marceline and Princess Bubblegum teaming up for the second episode, while the third episode will see Finn the human reuniting with his best friend Jake the dog.
The first two episodes “BMO,” and “Obsidian,” debuted last year and it was a critical success. The two episodes earned positive reviews, praising them for their storylines and LGBTQ representation.
Created by Pendleton Ward, Adventure Time was a critically-acclaimed series that ran on air for ten seasons from 2010-2018, where it also received eight Emmy Awards. The voice cast consisted of Jeremy Shada, John DiMaggio, Hynden Walch, Tom Kenny, Olivia Olson and Niki Yang with Ward, Adam Muto, Fred Seibert and Derek Drymon set as executive producers.
The first two episodes of the 4-part animated miniseries are already available for streaming on HBO Max!
