New Loki Trailer: The God of Mischief Breaks Reality in New MCU Series

Marvel Studios has released a brand new Loki trailer for Disney+’s highly-anticipated MCU series, starring Tom Hiddleston. The video provides us a better idea of what’s in store for the titular god of Mischief as he must help the Time Variant Authority fix the reality that he broke. It also gives us a preview of the chemistry between Hiddleston’s Loki and Owen Wilson’s Mobius, as well as some of the action-packed sequences. The six-episode series is scheduled to make its debut on June 11. Check out the video in the player below!

Loki will feature the return of Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston as the fan-favorite mischievous titular villain. The character was last seen in Avengers: Endgame, where he successfully had stolen the Tesseract during Iron Man and Ant Man’s failed attempt to retrieve it. According to rumors, viewers will follow Loki as he travels through time and leaves his mark on various historical events. Plus, the series will reportedly have wide-ranging effects on the larger MCU.

The series will also be introducing new characters to the MCU including Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday, Flowers, Into the Badlands), Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror: San Junipero), Cailey Fleming (The Walking Dead), and Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Sasha Lane (American Honey) and Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country).

The series is led by Rick and Morty veteran Michael Waldron, who is serving as the head writer and executive producer. It is also executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’ Esposito, Victoria Alonson, Stephen Broussard, and Kate Herron, who is also set as the director.

Loki is expected to premiere on Disney+ in spring 2021.
