Fox has released the first-look trailer for their newest multi-cam comedy titled Call Me Kat, featuring The Big Bang Theory alum Mayim Bialik as her character opens her own cat cafe while also breaking the fourth wall. Call Me Kat follows the story of a 39-year-old woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that you cannot have everything you want and still be happy. That is why she spent the money her parents set aside for her wedding to open a Cat Café in Louisville, KY.
The series stars Mayim Bialik, Kyla Pratt, Leslie Jordan, Cheyenne Jackson and Julian Gant. The series actually marks Bialik and Jim Parson’s first TV project since The Big Bang Theory which had premiered its twelfth and final season last May.
Based on the BBC original Miranda, the series is created by Miranda Hart. It will be written and executive produced by Darlene Hunt. Parsons serve as an executive producer through his That’s Wonderful Productions banner along with Angie Stephenson of BBC Studios. Bialik is also set to executive produce along with Mackenzie Gabriel-Vaught through their Sad Clown banner. That’s Wonderful’s Eric Norsoph will also be producing.
Call Me Kat is a co-production between Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment. The project is a part of Parsons and Bialik’s overall deals with WBTV.
