Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming third season of their action-adventure animated series Carmen Sandiego, featuring V.I.L.E. as they continue to pursue the titular iconic thief with the most impossible heist. The series is scheduled to make its return on Thursday, October 1. Check out the video in the player below!

Carmen is a modern day Robin Hood traveling the globe and stealing from V.I.L.E. and giving back to its victims. Carmen is publicly perceived as a criminal by most law enforcement agencies – correction, make that a master criminal due to the sheer scale and theatricality of her heists. We will follow her escapades and get to determine not only where but WHO in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

The voice cast is being led by Gina Rodriguez as Carmen, Finn Wolfhard as Player, Michael Hawley as Zack, Abby Trott as Ivy, and Paul Nakauchi as Shadow-san along with Dawnn Lewis as The Chief, Rafel Petardi as Chase Devineaux, Charlet Chung as Julia Argent and Sharon Muthu as Zari and Dr. Saira Bellum. It also features Liam O’Brien as Professor Gunnar Maelstrom, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Coach Brunt, Toks Olagundoye as Countess Cleo, Trevor Devall as Roundabout, Rita Moreno as Cookie Booker, Kari Wahlgren as Tigress, Andrew Pifko as El Topo and Kimiko Glenn as Paper Star.

Criminal mastermind Carmen Sandiego was the star of a number of games, working against the ACME Detective Agency as the head of V.I.L.E. The games taught kids geography and history, math and English. The character has appeared in books and other products as well. Carmen is a thief and and considers her crimes to be a game. She was also part of the ’90s children’s game show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?The show famously had the a cappella band Rockapella as their house band. They performed the famous theme song “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?.”
