Prank Encounters Trailer Sets Premiere Date For New Netflix Series

Netflix has released the official trailer for their upcoming reality series Prank Encounters, offering us a preview of the show’s elaborate hidden camera pranks involving serial killers, sarcophagus, killer teddy bears and more. Hosted and executive produced by Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, the series will be available for streaming on October 25. Check out the video below!

In Prank Encounters, Each episode of this terrifying and hilarious show takes two complete strangers on the surprise ride of a lifetime. It’s business as usual until their paths collide and fear meets funny when their one-day assignments turn into supernatural surprises.

The eight-episode series is directed by Anthony Gonzalez (Undercover Boss). It comes from Ben Silverman and Howard Owen’s Propagate with Matarazzo, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Kevin Healey, and Rob Hyde serving as executive producers.

When Prank Encounters was first announced last June, it was met with criticisms and online backlash for the show’s premise involving people who were looking for jobs. Some people were worried and disappointed that the series might be taking advantage of those people’s situations. Netflix made a quick response to address the issue in order to clarify further misconceptions about the show .

“The pranks in Prank Encounters are spooky, supernatural, and over the top, and everyone had a great time,” the streaming service said in a statement via TIME “All participants came in with the expectation this was a one-day, hourly gig and everyone got paid for their time.”
