Freeform unveils Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger season 2 trailer!

Freeform has released the action packed official trailer for Season 2 of their hit teen superhero series Marvel’s Cloak & Daggerwhich shows off the continuing adventures of the titular heroes (played by Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph) and their battle with the villainous Mayhem (portrayed by Emma Lahana). In the comics, Mayhem is also known as Detective Brigid O’Reilly, Tandy and Tyrone’s ally, who died due to poisoning. The pair tried to use their powers to resurrect their friend, but soon gave up to search for the culprits responsible for the crime. Unbeknownst to them, O’Reilly was resurrected as the villain Mayhem, who has the power to fly and let out a green and venomous gas that can paralyze her enemies.

Season 2 will also feature our young heroes trying to find their place as more active heroes in this world. As they learn and grow emotionally, so will their skills. With their enhanced powers in tow they make the choice to run head first into danger, and end up uncovering an evil that’s been preying on the young women of the city.

The series also stars Gloria Reuben (ER, Mr. Robot), Andrea Roth (Rescue Me, Blue Bloods), J.D. Evermore (True Detective, The Walking Dead), Miles Mussenden (Bloodline, Queen Sugar), Carl Lundstedt (Grey’s Anatomy, Conviction), Emma Lahana and Jaime Zevallos.

The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Joe Pokaski (Underground, Heroes) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist), Marvel’s Head of Television and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) will also serve as executive producers.

The first episode of Season 2 will be a two-hour premiere event scheduled to air on April 4 at 8pm EST/PST.
