Dave Annable Joins Netflix Drama What/If
The upcoming Netflix drama, What/If, has added Dave Annable to its cast lineup for the ten episode first season. According to Deadline, Annable will play Dr. Ian Harris on the series. Annable’s previous credits include Brothers and Sisters, 666 Park Avenue, Red Band Society, Heartbeat, and Yellowstone.
What/If is an anthology drama series created by Mike Kelley, which stars Renée Zellweger as as a powerful woman named Anne. Jane Levy and Blake Jenner are portraying Lisa and Sean, a struggling married couple who accept an “ethically perilous proposition” from Anne to secure their financial future. Samantha Ware co-stars the series alongside Juan Castano, Keith Powers, and Saamer Usmani.
Deadline is also reporting that Louis Herthum has also joined What/If as Foster, the “imposing driver and right hand man” of Anne. Herthum portrayed Peter Abernathy for two seasons on HBO’s Westworld. He previously appeared in Longmire, True Detective, Revenge, and several other TV series and films.
As conceived by Kelley, What/If is supposed to explore the implications of “acceptable people” who start doing unacceptable things, as well as the ramifications of those actions. Each new season will shift to a new morality tale inspired by ” culturally consequential source material.” The subsequent stories will deal with “a single fateful decision” and how it can change lives forever.
