Nina Sadowsky’s The Burial Society To Be Developed Into A Series

Deadline reports that ITV Studios was won the rights to turn Nina Sadowsky’s The Burial Society into a series after a bit of a bidding war. Producers Cathy Konrad (Scream, Scream: The Series) and Darryl Taja (The Perfect Guy) are on board to produce.

Sadowsky’s novel, which was published in January, is the first in a series of books about a woman named Catherine with no last name who rescues people from terrible and abusive situations. The title, The Burial Society, refers to her dark-web based witness protection program, which serves as many of her client’s last possible hope.

Sadowsky is also a film producer, whose work includes The Wedding Planner with Matthew McConaughey and The House of Sand and Fog with Ben Kingsley, as well as a teacher at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Her debut novel, Just Fall, is currently in development over at Starz, who bought the rights to the book before it was published. She’ll also serve as executive producer on The Burial Society.
