FOX has released over 30 new photos from The X-Files Season 11, teasing the events of the first two new episodes. Check out The X-Files Season 11 photos in the gallery below!

The X-Files Season 11 is set to premiere Wednesday, January 3 on FOX. The Season 11 premiere is titled “My Struggle III” and is officially described as follows:

“Picking up after the last event series’ cliffhanger, Mulder and Scully learn that they aren’t the only ones desperately searching for their long-lost son, William. The very fate of the world may depend on it.”

The episode was written and directed by series creator Chris Carter.

Following the premiere, Episode 11.02 is set to air Wednesday, January 10 and is titled “This.” The episode features the return of Dean Haglund as Richard ‘Ringo’ Langly and is described as follows:

“An old friend reaches out to Mulder and Scully in a seemingly impossible way, revealing a chilling secret.”

The X-Files features the return of David Duchovny as Fox Mulder, Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, and Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner. The series originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully and Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena. Produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Ten Thirteen Productions, The X-Files is created and executive-produced by Chris Carter.
