With fully constructed buildings from “The City,” the Tick Takeover features a twenty-foot tall animatronic Tick head that fans will be able to control themselves! In addition to Easter eggs tied to the show, the Tick Takeover‘s main attraction is a challenge-based scavenger hunt that sees Citizens asked to help Arthur and The Tick take down a group of evil-doers. The multi-room experience takes place in four locations essential to the series – Goat’s Deli, Arthur’s Apartment, The Warehouse, and The City Police Station.

Also part of the Tick Takeover is the Amazon Prime Member Lounge, a comfortable, cool environment where Citizens will have the chance to experience Amazon Prime benefits as they stream the pilot episode of The Tick. Attendees can also unlock digital badges hidden within the space to win exclusive promotional items.

Viral art sensation Matty Mo, also known as “The Most Famous Artist,” has also created a one-of-a-kind art piece featuring Superian. He’s also responsible for creating and curating all the graffiti tags seen around The City.

But the Tick Takeover doesn’t end there! During their adventures at SDCC, Citizens will be able to call upon the #TeamTick street team for help when they are in a bind. Team Tick will be taking to the streets of San Diego, helping the helpless and defending the defenseless. Citizens seeking assistance from the street team need only flag down a member of Team Tick, adorned with blue antenna, to get help for their distress.

The Tick Takeover will be open to the public (no Comic-Con badge required) Thursday, July 20th through Saturday, July 22nd from 9:00am until 6:00pm, and Sunday, July 23rd from 9:00am until 5:00pm at the MLK Promenade (corner of 1st and J street).

The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the GalaxyShaun of the Dead) as the title hero alongside Griffin Newman and Valorie Curry. Patrick Warburton, who headlined the previous live-action take on The Tick, will executive produce along with Ben Edlund, Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld. Edlund, who created The Tick, is also writing.
