Attack the Block and Edge of Tomorrow’s Franz Drameh Joins Arrow, The Flash Spin-off

The CW has announced another casting addition to their upcoming “Arrow” and “The Flash” spin-off with Attack the Block and Edge of Tomorrow star Franz Drameh. Drameh joins the cast as a character named “Jay Jackson,” who is officially described as follows:

“Jay Jackson, a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew.”

This sounds suspiciously close to the character Victor Stone aka Cyborg, set to be played by Ray Fisher in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though it remains to be seen if that’s the case. The previously-reported cast listing for the character reveals a little more about the character calling him “a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.”

The upcoming show is also set to feature Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and Caity Lotz reprising their roles from “Arrow” and “The Flash” along with newcomers Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter and Ciara Renée as Hawkgirl.

Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter are set to executive produce the series. Although no official timeline has been revealed, the series is expected to target a mid-season premiere in 2016.
