Game of Thrones Takes Over the Cover of Entertainment Weekly

UPDATE: HBO (via EW) has now released the first official images of Prince Oberyn Martell’s daughters, AKA the Sand Snakes, including Obara (Keisha Castle-Hughes), Nymeria (Jessica Henwick) and the youngest, crop-topped Tyene (Rosabell Laurenti). You can view the photos in the gallery below.

Entertainment Weekly has released the covers for their latest issue featuring the principal cast of “Game of Thrones,” and including a whopping 30-page story on the upcoming fifth season. You can view the covers in the gallery below.

“Worlds are colliding,” executive producer David Benioff said of the new season. “One of the things we’ve been most excited about from the beginning of the series is we’ve had all these fall flung story lines across Westeros and Essos which almost never cross. Now some of these characters start to head on a collision course for each other.”

The magazine goes on to tease that the upcoming fifth season will not only deviate from George R.R. Martin’s novels, and that characters still alive in the books will die, but that three weddings will take place this season. Should the past repeat itself, they will be events to die for.

Season 5 of “Game of Thrones” is set to premiere on April 12 at 9 p.m on HBO, and will include new cast members Alexander Siddig, Toby Sebastian, Nell Tiger Free, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Jessica Henwick, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, DeObia Oparei, Jonathan Pryce, Hannah Waddingham, Enzo Cilenti, Michael Condron, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss return as executive producers and showrunners for Season 5, which will be based mostly on the fourth and fifth novels of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series, “A Feast for Crows” and “A Dance with Dragons.”
