Homeland Star Chris Chalk Joins Gotham as Lucius Fox

Deadline reports that “Homeland” and “The Newsroom” star Chris Chalk has joined the cast of FOX’s “Gotham” in the role of Lucius Fox. Chalk will appear in the penultimate episode of this season with an option to return in the fall for the second season.

Created by Len Wein and John Calnan back in 1979, Lucius Fox was a long-running CEO of Wayne Enterprises in the source material and Bruce Wayne’s silent partner in his activities as Batman, though it’s never outright stated that he knows Wayne is the Caped Crusader. Morgan Freeman previously played him in Chris Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy.

Executive produced by Bruno Heller, “Gotham” tells an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. It follows James Gordon’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. The series airs Mondays at 9 P.M. EST. on FOX.
