A New Daredevil Still Teases Absorbing Man Connection

Another new image from Netflix’s highly-anticipated first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe has arrived, this time in the form of a fight poster revealed by the official Twitter account of “Marvel’s Daredevil.” Check it out below!

Battlin’ Jack Murdock is, of course, the father of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock while comic book fans are also likely to recognize Carl “Crusher” Creel as the supervillain the Absorbing Man. The reveal is likely to raise a few questions about the new series’ chronology, however, as Creel already debuted in the MCU at the beginning of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s” second season, played by Brian Patrick Wade. In real life, Wade is only a few years older than Cox. Could Wade have really been playing a Carl Creel Jr. all along?

Whatever the case may be, we don’t have very long before it’s cracked. All 13 episodes of “Daredevil’s” first season debut on Netflix April 10.

Also starring Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Bob Gunton (Leland Owlsely aka The Owl), Vondie Curtis Hall (Ben Urich), Toby Leonard Moore (Wesley, Wilson Fisk’s right hand man), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), “Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix and will debut in 2015.
