Line-Up for Live-Action Teen Titans Series Revealed

One superhero show you may have forgotten about that is in development is “Titans,” a live-action version of the Teen Titans group set to air on TNT. Little has been revealed on the project since the initial announcement, but now Nerdist has learned who will make up the core members of the team.

As previously reported, Dick Grayson will appear on the series though the outlet notes that he begins the pilot episode as Robin and will transition into Nightwing. A wheelchair-bound Barbara Gordon will also be a member, though she isn’t yet going by the “Oracle” moniker, interesting given she never has been a member of the team in the source material. The Hank Hall and Dawn Granger version of Hawk and Dove are also set to appear and will be a “romantic pairing.” Founding New Teen Titans members Raven and Starfire will also be members of the team in the series.

An interesting mixture of new and old members of the group with the notable absence of Cyborg and Beast Boy, though Ray Fisher is set to play Victor Stone in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and his own solo movie. The outlet also notes that, despite no indication in the pilot script, the series could still share a continutiy with The CW’s “Arrow” and “The Flash” given their shared parent company, though this remains unconfirmed. What do you think of this line-up for “Titans”?

Set to be written by Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes, the pilot episode will begin production this year.
