Dirty Sexy Money Gets Full Season

ABC has given a full season order to “Dirty Sexy Money,” one of the year’s new critical darlings, reports Variety.

The “Dirty Sexy Money” order marks the first back-nine pick-up since writers went on strike two weeks ago. Such a move would seem odd, since there’s no guarantee “Dirty Sexy Money” will even complete its initial 13-episode order, given the work stoppage.

But ABC executives are high on the show, which has been collecting buzz and turning into a sleeper surprise for the net, adds the trade.

“Dirty Sexy Money” stars Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland, Jill Clayburgh, William Baldwin, Natalie Zea, Glenn Fitzgerald, Samaire Armstrong, Seth Gabel and Zoe McLellan.

Craig Wright created “Dirty Sexy Money” and executive produces with Greg Berlanti, Josh Reims, Matthew Gross and Bryan Singer. ABC Studios is behind the show.

“Dirty Sexy Money” represents the fourth new series to score a full season pickup from ABC; The network has also given back nines to “Pushing Daisies,” “Samantha Who?” and “Private Practice.”
